Bart Carlier

Bart Carlier ( born June 23, 1929 in Venlo as Albertus Carlier, often Bert Carlier ) is a former Dutch footballer who played in the 1950s, both in his homeland as well as in Germany and France. He played five matches for the Dutch national football team, scoring two goals. He came from Venlo; his family - parents, younger sister and older brother Willy, also a talented footballer - had come at war with the bombing of the city on August 15, 1944 lost their lives.

Club career

The Left Wing came in 1952 from VVV Venlo to Germany and played in the season 1952/53, the 1st FC Cologne in the Oberliga West. In eight games, he scored as many goals here, a rarely achieved rate of a goal per game use. The Cologne were this season runner-up and took part in the final round of the German Cup. For the season 1953/54, he joined together with coach Helmut Schneider from Muengersdorf in the Oberliga West to FK Pirmasens. National

His first try at Oranje had Carlier on November 6, 1955.
