Bartolomeo Bellano

Bartolomeo Bellano (* 1435 in Padua, † 1497 ) was an Italian sculptor and architect in the Renaissance.

Life

Bellano studied under Donatello, whom he followed to Florence. 1464 Bellano went at the invitation of Pope Paul II to Rome, but returned in 1469 returned to Padua, where he created his most important work, a reliquary made ​​of marble for the Basilica of Saint Anthony. 1479, he and sent the painter Gentile Bellini of the Republic of Venice to Constantinople Opel.
