Barton Zwiebach

Barton Zwiebach ( born October 4, 1954 in Lima) is a theoretical physicist and professor at MIT in Boston, USA. He works in the field of string theory and is valid since the 1980s as one of the leading experts in this theory.

Studied at Zwiebach in his native Peru and finished it in 1977 at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeneria with a degree in electrical engineering.

He received his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 1983 with Murray Gell-Mann. Subsequently, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California and at MIT, where he was assistant professor in 1987 and professor in 1994.
