Bartonella rochalimae

Bartonella rochalimae is a gram-negative bacterial species from the family of Bartonellaceae. It was in June 2007 at the University of California, San Francisco ( UCSF ), General Hospital and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States isolated on Massachusetts.

Bartonella rochalimae is closely related to Bartonella quintana and Bartonella henselae. The name Bartonella rochalimae derived from the Brazilian researchers Henrique da Rocha Lima.
