Bas Belder

Bastiaan " Bas " Belder ( born October 25, 1946 in Ridderkerk ) is a Dutch politician ( SGP ).

Belder belongs since 1999 to the European Parliament. In 2004, he was the top candidate of the SGP, then the party was taking a common alliance with the ChristianUnion (CU ) under Hans Blokland. 2009 were both parties together for Parliament to, but it came at the beginning of the 7th parliamentary term at a fraction between two parties: While the CU of the newly formed Group of European Conservatives and Reformists joined, Belder went to Europe of Freedom and Democracy. Since 2009 he is the chairman of the delegation for relations between the EU and Israel. In addition, Belder, a member of the Conference of Delegation Chairs, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean
