Batman and Robin is an adventure serial with fifteen individual episodes of Columbia Pictures from 1949 and is based on the comic book character created by Bob Kane.

Action

The brilliant scientist Professor Hammil has made a groundbreaking new invention: a machine with which you can take control over any kind of vehicle in order to control it at any desired location. The machine is stolen, however, because it has a not to be underestimated value for criminals.

Commissioner Gordon calls Batman and Robin to the rescue to retrieve the machine. Hammil explains the two, that the machine is operated with diamonds, so they go to the next major jeweler and take a stand. My instinct did not deceive the masked criminals hunters. A handful of crooks just tried with the loot to disappear through the back door. Batman and Robin take down the gang, but one of them manages to escape with the stolen goods.

He brings the diamond to his boss, a masked criminal mastermind, who calls himself The Wizard. He has now brought enough diamonds in his possession to start the machine and uses it to kidnap a train carrying a new type of super explosive called " X -90". The Wizard plans to use the explosives to blackmail the city to ransom in the millions. But before the criminal can put his plan into action, Batman and Robin have tracked his secret hiding place, which is located just below the house of Professor Hammil.

It turns out that The Wizard actually the criminal assessed twin brother of Carter, Hammils 's house servant. Carter's brother is passed to the police and the city is saved by Batman and Robin.

Others

  • In Batman and Robin first came the Batsignal used. The headlamp capable of projecting the stylized silhouette of a bat, has already been taken over whether its effectiveness shortly after the movie in the comics.
