FC Banik Ostrava

The stadium Bazaly (often na Bazalech Stadium ) is a football stadium in the Moravian-Silesian Ostrava. The football club FC Banik Ostrava plays its home games from here. Named the stadium after the locality Bazaly. The capacity is 17,372 seats. The stadium is einrangig. The main grandstand with 2,827 seats is covered, the remaining 15,545 seats are not.

History

The stadium was built from 1959 in several stages. The first game took place on April 19, 1959, Banik Ostrava defeated Spartak Usti nad Labem 2:3. 1967 was the capacity of 28,500, of which 25,000 standing places. The first international match in Bazaly stadium took place on 1 June 1977, Czechoslovakia broke up a scoreless draw by Austria. 1988 and again in 1994, the Tribune was reconstructed. Since then, the stadium has only about seats, the capacity dropped to 18,667. In 2003 there was a total reconstruction, new seats were installed. Since then, the FCB lettering adorns the back straight, white seats, the three letters, außenrum look for blue seats.

The stadium is no longer in line with current requirements. For the European Cup Matches 2004 UEFA granted an exception. Under the stadium are located in underground galleries, 1997, there was a slump of the playing surface. This makes the installation of a soil heating impossible, which is from 2008, a condition of participation in the Czech first league. Therefore, the FC Banik Ostrava is planning to move into the venue of the city rivals FC Vitkovice, Mestsky stadium - Vitkovice Aréna.
