Basket Club Maritime Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral is a professional basketball team of French Gravelines Dunkerque in the Arrondissement ( German sub-prefecture Dunkirk ) on the English Channel. The team plays in the top domestic league championship in France and has participated in European club competitions in the past frequently.

History

The team was founded in 1984 from a merger of the neighboring clubs from Grand-Fort -Philippe and Gravelines as "Basket Club Maritime Gravelines " and in 1988 they first appeared in the top flight in France. In 2002 it merged with a club in Dunkirk and under the new name, the association was able to lay down the best teams in France. 2003 reached to the final of the cup competition and in 2004 the championship finals in France. After they had in 2005 and the final in the League Cup " Semaine des As" lost, you won that year with the trophy for the first time a national title. After initially no further successes, before we could move back to the Cup Final 2010. After the lost cup final they won for the first time in 2011 League Cup. In 2012 they lost in a rematch of the League Cup final last year this time against Elan Chalon and could not defend the title.
