Cholet Basket is a French basketball club from Cholet in the Pays de la Loire. The club was founded in 1975 when it broke away from the company founded in 1926 basketball department of the Club Omnisports de la Jeune France Choletais. The club has an ambitious youth work, has several national player spawned and was in the youth and junior age classes several times national champion and cup winner.

History

The club started in 1975 in the third division and reached the promotion to the top flight until 1987. Already in the first Erstligasaison after qualifying for a European cup competition. The hitherto most successful season scoring the team in 1997/98, when they both semi-finals of the Championship as well as in Korac Cup with the trophy victory first won the next to the third place in the championship and the feeder. In the following season could confirm third place and defend the Cup title, but different this time from in the quarter- finals of the Championship play- offs, and in the second round of the Saporta Cup. The greatest success of the club in the recent past, when after the biggest international success, reaching the final in the Euro Challenge Cup 2009, the first national championship was achieved in 2010.
