City Beach is a city in Chambers County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States of America.

Geography

The city is located about 20 km north of the running from east to west, U.S. Highway 10 at Trinity Bay in southeast Texas, about 50 km from the Gulf of Mexico is removed and has a total area of 11.5 km ², without significant water surface. The place is about 55 km away from the lying to the west Houston and about 14 km southeast of Baytown.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 1,645 people in 623 households and 490 families. The population density was 143.0 inhabitants per km ². Ethnically, the population itself is composed of 95.62 % White, 1.58 % African American, 0.12 % Native American, 0.06 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents from the and 1.76 % from other ethnic groups. Approximately 0.85% are descended from two or more races and 4.74 % of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Of the 623 households 35.6 % had children under the age of 18 living with them. 70.5 % were married couples living together. 6.1% were single mothers and 21.2% were non-families. 16.2 % of all households were single-person households and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size is 2.97.

25.8 % of the population were under 18 years old, 7.0 % from 18 to 24, 28.0% 25-44, 29.8 % from 45 to 64, and 9.4 % who were 65 years or older. The average age was 40 years. For every 100 females of all ages were 103.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over 102.5 males.

The median income for a household was $ 70,104, and the median income for a family $ 75,439. Males have a median income of $ 55,268 versus $ 33,750 for females.
