Bear River State Park

The Bear River State Park is a state park in the vicinity of Evanston, Wyoming. The name is borrowed from the Bear River, which flows through the park. The park was established in 1991 and covers an area of 1.2 km ² (300 acres). For hiking and wildlife observation about five kilometers on foot were created. Small herds of bison and elk live in the park fenced. In winter it offers tourists the opportunity to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The Bear River State Park is open all year. There is no accommodation in the park. Takes place on the weekend before Labor Day every year in the south of the park, the Bear River Rendezvous instead. The rendezvous of the trappers mid-19th century to be adjusted.
