Beatritz de Dia

Beatriz de Dia (also: Comtessa de Dia and Condesa de Dia ) was the late 12th century Countess of Dia, which became known as Trobairitz. According to her she was married to Vida Guilhem de Peitieus, but she was in love with the troubadour Raimbaut de Vaqueiras, which she wrote numerous songs.

Of her four lyrics have survived. To the song A Chantar m'er the melody is preserved. Her works, which are considered to be synonymous with the work of their male contemporaries, treat courtly love from the perspective of a woman.
