Beaumont (crater)

Beaumont is an impact crater on the Moon's front page on the western edge of Mare Nectaris, east of the crater Catharina and northwest of Fracastorius. The crater is relatively flat, highly eroded and the crater floor is uneven.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French Gerologen Léonce Élie de Beaumont.
