Bebek, Istanbul

Bebek ( Turkish for baby) is a district in the northeast of Istanbul's Beşiktaş with about 5,000 inhabitants ( 2011). The district, which is one of the most prosperous of Istanbul is shaped by the promenade on the Bosphorus and the many fashionable shops, cafes and restaurants.

Geography

Bebek is bordered to the south by Arnavutköy and Kültür, to the west and to the north by Etiler Rumeli in Sariyer on. In the east, the Bay of Bebek forms a natural border in the Bosphorus.
