Bekasi

Geographical unit

Bekasi is a city in the Indonesian province of West Java. It is located east of Jakarta and had in 2010 2.378.211 inhabitants. Together with Jakarta and the neighboring cities in southern and western Bogor and Tangerang it forms the Jabotabek metropolitan area.

In the city's international subsidiaries of large companies are located, such as Honda, Converse or Samsung.
