Bel Ami (1939 film)

Bel Ami is one of Willi Forst 1938 with himself staged in the main or the title role adaptation of the novel Bel -Ami by Guy de Maupassant.

Action

Paris, 1900: The recently returned from Morocco George Duroy spends a night with the budding singer Rachel, who rehearsed the song Bel Ami, and told in a society of newspaper editor Forestier about Morocco. At the request of the ladies out he was hired by Walter, owner of La Vie Française, as a journalist.

Forestier's wife Madeleine, who is also the mistress of Deputies Laroche and can be exploited by him to influence Forestier about the newspaper Laroche sense Duroy help while writing the texts. Forestier is jealous of Duroy and divorces.
