Ben and Kate
Ben and Kate is an American sitcom that aired from September 25 2012 to January 22, 2013 on Fox. The focus of the series is the single mother Kate, whose brother Ben moves in with her to help her in raising their daughter.

Kate Fox is a young woman who is manager of a bar and at the same time must take care of her six year old daughter Maddie alone. After her older brother Ben has visited them in Los Angeles and has noticed that they needed help, he takes a short hand with her. Kate also provides the opportunity to pick up her brother from his dream world into reality back in this situation.

In October 2012, Fox secured the rights to the project Ben Fox is My Manny by the screenwriter Dana Fox. First, the title in Ned Fox is My Manny has been changed, then in The Kids. Finally, in January 2012, Fox ordered a pilot episode for the series, which was given the name Ben and Kate. In May, Fox ordered 13 episodes of the series. As showrunner of the series Garrett Donovan and Neil Goldman were committed. In October 2012, Fox ordered six more episodes of the series.
The first beginning of February 2012 Maggie Elizabeth Jones has been cast in a role in the series. In mid-February came Echo Kellum to the cast of the show. Initially it was committed in the same month Abby Elliott for the lead female role, but this left the project again in March, as it was felt to be too young for the role. Shortly after the departure of Elliott from the series she was replaced by Dakota Johnson. End of February, the central male lead role had already been occupied with Nat Faxon.
The series premiered on September 25, 2012 on Fox premiere. On January 23, 2013 Fox took the series due to poor ratings of his program. On January 25, 2013 Fox officially unveiled a production of the series. At this time, 16 of the 19 ordered episodes were filmed. The last three final episodes of the series have not been aired in the United States but in the UK on the transmitter ITV2. In October 2013 Fox published the consequences also on Itunes and Amazon.com.
