History

The distillery at the foot of Ben Nevis, whose name she has assumed, was founded in 1825 by " Long" John MacDonald. After his death in 1856, his son Donald took over the distillery. Since 1908 the building of the former Nevis distillery, which was founded in 1878 by Donald P. Production

The water belonging to the Highlands / Western Highlands distillery comes from the Allt A Mhullin Burn.
