Beni Montresor

Beni Montresor ( Montresor really Benito; born March 31, 1926 in Bussolengo; † 11 October 2001 in Verona ) was an Italian stage designer, director and illustrator.

Life

Montresor studied at the School of Fine Arts of Verona and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Thanks to a scholarship, he could also visit the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, where he among other things, worked with Fellini.

In 1960 he went to New York and started from there an international career that made working in of outstanding opera houses as a stage; so at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where he worked with The Last Savage by Gian Carlo Menotti debptierte 1964, the Royal Opera House in London, the Opéra National de Paris.
