Benjamin Dean Wyatt
Benjamin Dean Wyatt (* 1775, † 1852) was an English architect and was trained by his father, the architect James Wyatt.
Wyatt attended the Westminster School in London and studied at Christ Church College in Oxford. From 1813 to 1827 he worked as a building surveyor for the maintenance of Westminster Abbey.
At Wyatt's known works include the Drury Lane Theatre (1811 ) in London and the Crockford 's Club House (1827 ) at London's St James 's Street. Together with Charles Barry, he created large parts of the interior at Lancaster House, located in London on the boulevard The Mall on the plot next to St James's Palace.
At Apsley House, Hyde Park Corner, Wyatt led on behalf of the Duke of Wellington, who had purchased the house in 1817 from conversions. In the course of this work the building its classical portico and honey-colored limestone brickwork be received.
