Benjamin Mancroft, 3rd Baron Mancroft

Benjamin Lloyd Stormont Mancroft, 3rd Baron Mancroft ( born May 16, 1957) is a British politician of the Conservative Party.

Life

He was born the son of Stormont Mancroft, 2nd Baron Mancroft and his wife Diana Lloyd. He attended Eton College. In 1987 he succeeded his father and remained after the House of Lords Act 1999 in the House of Lordsals one of the 90 elected hereditary peers. He is active among others in the Countryside Alliance in a responsible position.

Mancroft was since 1995 chairman of Inter Lotto and 19995-2003 Scratch -n- Win Lotteries. He is non-executive director of St Martin 's Magazines plc and Rok Corporation since 2003. Since 2006 he is also Chairman of New Media Lottery Services.

In February 2008, Mancroft complained that the NHS nurses who had treated him at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, were " grubby, drunken and promiscuous " was. The Chief Executive of the Hospital, James Scott, called this statement " damaging and hurtful " and asked the peer withdraw it. Mancroft this has not done and not apologized.

Since 1990, Lord Mancroft is married to Emma Peart and the couple have two sons and a daughter.
