Benjamín Noval

Benjamín Noval González ( born January 23, 1979 in Mieres, Asturias ) is a retired Spanish road bicycle racer. He is 1.85 meters tall, his racing weight is 78 kilograms.

Career

Noval was 2001 Colchon Relax - Fuenlabrada professional. In the three years in which he drove for the team, he scored some good results. He finished sixth and ninth in the Tour of Catalonia, twelfth in the Basque country - tour and third in the Spanish championships. He then moved to U.S. Postal, ie since 2005 Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team, and drove at the Tour de France in 2005 as a helper for Lance Armstrong. After dissolution of the Discovery team, he moved along with eight riders for Team Astana. In all these positions, he worked as an assistant for his team captains and was able to celebrate with these five Tour de France victories: in 2004 and 2005 with Lance Armstrong, 2007, 2009 and 2010, with Alberto Contador. 2011 he co-wrote with Contador a contract with Team Saxo Bank to get there as well as a team driver for use. His 2012 season began in February Noval in the Mediterranean cruise, which he finished in 49th.

End of the 2013 season, he finished his career as a professional cyclist.
