Bergdorf Goodman

Bergdorf Goodman is located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City luxury department store in the 754 Fifth Avenue at 58th Street. The company operates in addition to the main house used since 1929 for upscale women's fashion and accessories since 1990, a branch for high-priced men's fashion directly opposite in the 745 Fifth Avenue. Both houses are located one block from the south- eastern entrance to Central Park. Is named the store after Herman Bergdorf, an originating from the Alsace owner of a tailoring business in Manhattan, and his collaborator Edwin Goodman, a fashion designer. Bergdorf opened his business in 1899 in the vicinity of Union Square and found Goodman in 1901, which mountain village in 1906, finally bought from the store.
