Bering Motors

The Bering Motors S. A. is one of Juan Ramón in 1969 founded the commercial vehicle and automobile manufacturer with headquarters in El Dorado, Panama. Target markets are mainly for the company's Caribbean countries and some countries in Central America. Some of the units are also exported to the USA, Canada and some countries of the Middle East.

History

The manufacturer has specialized since its inception to vehicles from the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. Produced buses are the manufacturer of Hyundai County Hyundai Aero City, Hyundai Aero Town as well as the Hyundai Super Aero City.

With an investment of 30 million U.S. $, a second factory was built later, in the now trucks were produced. Current truck model from the manufacturer is the Hyundai HD 65/72/78. Older and already discontinued models, however, are the Bering HDMX, HD Bering Bering LD, MD and the Bering Bering MS. Some model lines were installed for the U.S. and Canada in 1996 founded Bering Truck Corporation, based in Front Royal, Virginia.

With 1,400 units assembled in the USA, the company was within one year of the leading American truck manufacturer. 2001, however, had to be cut then stopped there because the local main supplier had entered into a joint venture with Daimler Chrysler.

Since 2008, the manufacturer also operates a fourth plant in Campeche, Mexico where since the Hyundai Atos is rolling in current form from the tape.
