Berkano ( ᛒ ) is the eighteenth rune of the Elder Futhark and the fourteenth Rune of Norse runic alphabet with the phonetic value of b. The reconstructed Proto-Germanic name means " birch " and appears in the runic poems as bjarkan Old Norse, Old English beorc or bercna gothic.
