Bernard Slade

Bernard Slade ( born May 2, 1939 in St. Catharines, Ontario ) is a Canadian stage and screenwriter.

Slade worked as a playwright in Canada. Mid-1960s, he went to Hollywood and wrote screenplays for television series. In 1975, his play Same Time, Next Year ( Next year, same time) and had its world premiere with Charles Grodin and Ellen Burstyn in the lead roles great success. Both this piece and to Tribute and Romantic Comedy Slade also wrote the screenplays for the film versions.
