Bernhard Ludvik

Bernhard Ludvik ( born June 21, 1961 in Vienna) is an Austrian specialist in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism. He is an associate professor at the Medical University of Vienna and Deputy Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the General Hospital Vienna.

Life

Ludvik graduated in medicine at the University of Vienna, where he received his doctorate in 1985. After his residency in 1992, he spent two years at the University of California San Diego operates ( Max Kade Foundation Scholarship ) and his habilitation in the following year. Bernhard Ludvik since 1996 is a specialist in endocrinology and metabolism and in 1998 associate professor at the University of Vienna. In 2009 he was appointed Deputy Head of the Clinical Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Head of clinic metabolism and diabetes outpatient clinic of the Department of Internal Medicine III at the General Hospital Vienna General Hospital.

He is head of the working group obesity and metabolism ( Vienna General Hospital ), Vice- President of the Austrian Diabetes Association and Past President of the Austrian Obesity Society.

He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the " Journal of Nutrition ", the EASO (European Assoc for the Study of Obesity. ): Section Editor (clinical aspects and treatment) Obesity facts - The European Journal of Obesity and the Scientific Advisory Board IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity )
