Bernhard Philberth

Bernhard Josef Philberth ( born March 26, 1927 in Traunstein, † August 8, 2010 in Melbourne, Australia ) was a German physicist, engineer, author of nonfiction and a Catholic priest.

Life and work

Philberth was born as the son of Joseph and his wife Philberth Klara (nee Wolf). He was the older brother of Charles Philberth. Bernhard studied physics at the University of Munich and graduated there in 1950. In the early 1960s, he is one of the leading young men of the international nuclear research and published studies on the disposal of radioactive waste substances. His theoretical considerations were formulated mathematically by brother Charles, the book publication, this all arose in joint work.

Together with his brother, he belonged to numerous scientific societies, among them the Academy of Sciences of Besançon, the International glaciological Society, London, and the Physical Society of Japan on.
