Bethania (Queensland)

Bethania is a suburb of Brisbane, located approximately 25 km south of it. The town is located south of the Logan River. The place was originally called Bethany, and his name was adapted in everyday life.

Bethania was founded by German immigrants in the 19th century. The government in Queensland, Australia commissioned John Heussler, the immigration agents to organize the German colonization. In cooperation with the shipping company J. C. Godeffroy and Son came in 1864 German emigrants from Hamburg to Australia and founded Bethany.
