Between the Hills

Between the Hills is a region of Loudoun Valley in Loudoun County, Virginia. It describes the area of Loudoun Valley west of the Short Hill Mountain and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Virginia Secondary Route 671, Harpers Ferry Road, runs north to south through the region from its southern end at West Virginia State Route 9, Charles Town Pike, west of Hillsboro, to its northern end at U.S. Route 340, south of the bridge over the Potomac River and east of Harpers Ferry. The communities Neersville and Loudoun Heights are in the Between the Hills region.

The Confederate partisan John Mobberly came from this region and was able to successfully fight in the last two years of the U.S. Civil War through his ventures control over the region until he was killed in April 1865 near Neersville.
