Beur

Assessment ( in female form beurette ) is a Verlan expression for Arabe ( Arab) in France.

The term describes the offspring of immigrants from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia ( Maghreb ) in France who have come either as children to France or were born there as a second - generation immigrants. Through integration problems and - not always voluntary - ghettoization has been formed under the Beurs, among other things its own literary, musical and cinematic subculture ( Cinema assessment ).

In the 1980s, the term Black, blanc originated, assessed on the basis of the "Bleu, blanc, rouge" of the tricolor. This expression should emphasize the multi-ethnicity of France. There was a young show dance group of the same name, recruited from unemployed youth from the Parisian suburbs of different skin color, which successfully toured in Germany. Was popular and this term is also associated with the French national football team. Women's football is it just there: the European Cup won Olympique Lyon in 2011 with a team of five or six young " Beur " women.
