The valuation is a left or northern tributary of Ilme. It flows entirely within the municipality of the city of Dassel.

Course

The valuation rises in the middle of Elfas and the same is the essential drainage. Intermediate mixed wooded surveys the creek bed soon leaves this little ridge, and initially runs in a southeasterly direction at its southern edge. On the outskirts of Port Hagen the valuation changes direction to flow to Lüthorst to the southwest. The stream then passes Deitersen and finally joins up with Markoldendorf in the Ilme.

Flora and Fauna

In and on the evaluation endangered species were detected with the European crayfish and the marsh marigold. To protect this ecosystem a restoration has been carried out.
