Geography

Geographical Location

It is bordered to the west by the rural district of wood Minden, on the north by the district of Hildesheim, on the east by the district of Goslar and the district of Osterode am Harz Mountains, and on the south by the district of Göttingen and at the Hessen Kassel district and the North Rhine-Westphalian Circle Hoexter.

Geology

The district is located in the Weser -Leine Bergland. The line flows in the eastern district area in linen trench in the south-north direction. History
