Bezons

Bezons is a municipality with 28,330 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the department of Val- d'Oise, France.

Geography

Bezons is bounded on the south-east of the Seine, which forms the border with the department of Hauts -de -Seine there. The neighboring municipalities of Argenteuil Bezons are in the north- east, in the southeast of Colombes, Nanterre in the south, Carrière -sur -Seine in the southwest, Houilles in the west and Sartrouville in the northwest.

Demographics

In 1470 there were only twelve houses in Bezons. The city's population increased from only 468 residents in 1793 to over 25 000 inhabitants at the beginning of the 21st century. A particularly strong increase recorded the population in the first half of the 20th century.
