Bhanumati Devi
Bhanumati Devi ( born May 15, 1934 in Burma; † January 4, 2013 in Puri, Odisha ) was an Indian actress of Oriya film and theater.
Life
Bhanumati was born in Burma, where she gained her first theater experience at the age of seven years. During the Second World War, she moved with her parents in their home Orissa. In Cuttack she was four decades, the ensemble of the Annapurna Theatres and gained reputation with the pieces Napahu Rati Namaru Pati and Lakhye Hira. For her acting performances at the theater, she was honored by the Government of the State of Orissa with the award Jaydev Samman.
