Bhawani Singh

Bhawani Singh ( born October 22, 1931 † 17 April 2011) was the 40th Maharaja of the former kingdom of Jaipur.

Singh 1970 Maharajah of West Indian Kingdom of Jaipur. Already in 1971, managed the Indian state from all the royal title and deprived the rulers of hundreds of small kingdoms all privileges.

Military career

In the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 Bhawani Singh was deputy commander of the Indian 10th Parachute Regiment ( Commando ), which was known for spectacular operations in the desert in the east of the then West Pakistan. He was the second highest military order of India, the Maha Vir Chakra, excellent. This distinction is made clear in the name of the carrier by appending the uppercase MVC. 1974 Bhawani Singh was promoted to Brigadier his unit.

Succession

Since the Maharaja exclusively a biological child - a daughter - had he adopted his successor before his death to secure his grandson. This was 14 -year-old successor to the Maharaja. Until he came of age his father conducts its business.
