William Stanley Mazeroski ( born September 5, 1936 in Wheeling, West Virginia, United States) is a former baseball player in the Major League Baseball. Mazeroski, nicknamed " Maz " was played his entire career ( 1956-72 ) with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Maz was an important part of the Pirates in the victories in the World Series in 1960 and 1971. Mazeroski in 2001 was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Mazeroski is known mainly because of his home runs in the World Series in 1960, with whom he chose the seventh game and thus the series. As before, this is the only game - and series -critical home run in Game 7 of a World Series.
