Billiers

Billiers ( Breton: Beler ) is a commune with 911 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes Arc Bretagne Sud.

Geography

Most important districts are situated directly on the coast Penlan and the location on the mouth of the river Saint- Eloi capital Billiers.

Neighboring municipalities are Ambon in the west and Muzillac in the Northeast.

Culture

In Billiers several artists have settled, whose works are exhibited regularly. In summer since 2006 the festival will Moul'stock, for improvised music and since 2005 - together with the neighboring community Muzillac - the festival La Renverse for Celtic music instead. Furthermore Billiers has its own municipal library.

Infrastructure

Billiers is located about three kilometers away from the highway-like -developed N 165, which runs from Nantes to Brest via Vannes. The nearest railway stations are located in Vannes and Questembert.
