Bimini twist

The Bimini Twist Knot is a fishing knot that is specified with a load capacity of 100%. It is therefore also suitable for big fish.

Tie

The fishing line is (possibly twice) through the hook eye and held the cord end. After that, the hook, best twisted by a helper, up to 20 times (depending on the line thickness). From the last winding of the cord end is rewound back to the beginning. Now on each part on the hook a half hitch is placed and then again fixed with a " two- loop knot" cord. The supernatant cord is cut.

  • Alternatively, the fish hook can be hooked to a cord race and the end of the cord with the taut line at a sufficient distance (20-30 cm) off the hook, for example, be fixed with a Slipstek. After a distance blocks ( matchbox, empty bobbin reel etc. which is inserted between the main line and the end line after the hook ) make the desired number of rotations. Raise Slipstek and continue with the return windings.
  • For very thin fishing lines, it is advisable to put a nail or a match before the first winding on the hook, so that the end nodes still running on the hook by the back coils ( through put ) can be.
  • With the recommended 20 turns of twist would have been very long and have up to four times (70-80 ) windings needed to get back wrapped tightly to the hook. The below node is provided with a Cord and only five turns, which is 20 rear coils revealed!
