Birds of Tokyo

The Birds of Tokyo are an Australian alternative rock band from Perth. She is the second project of singer Ian Kenny next Karnivool.

Biography

The band was founded in 2004 in Perth Western Australia and first shots have already been published a year later. The song Stay by her debut single gave them equal attention and was awarded the first rock song of the year with the WAMI Award of the West Australian music industry. Also published in 2007 debut album One Day won awards, but remained a local success. By a year later published follow-up album Universes then they managed to australia wide breakthrough and came to No. 3 on the album charts.

Were able to establish definitively the Birds of Tokyo in 2010 with the third album, which bears the band's name as the title. With space 2 they reached again a top ranking in the Australian album charts and with over 70 000 albums sold platinum status. To this end, they had a hit single with the plan, which could be placed even in the New Zealand charts.
