Bishopric of Pomesania

The following people were bishops of Pomesania.

The Catholic Diocese of Pomesania was founded in 1259. The bishop's seat was Marie Werder; In the 14th century it was moved to Giants Castle. With the crossing of the bishop of Erhard Queis to Protestantism, the Catholic part of 1524 was transferred to the diocese Pelplin whose bishops henceforth bore the title of Bishop of Kulm and Pomesania.

1587 the diocese by the Prussian administrator Margrave Georg Friedrich I. (Brandenburg -Ansbach - Kulmbach ) was drafted.
