Bißnitz

The Bißnitz is a 15 km long river in the circles Stormarn and Segeberg, part of the river system in the Travelodge and empties into the lake offers.
Course
It Is formed from several drainage ditches in the community Rehhorst in Stormarn. About 10 km after its creation, it is fed in the village Söhren of the Steinbek and flows in Pronstorf in the Wardersee. The Bißnitz is not suitable for navigation.
Flora and Fauna
The Bißnitz is mostly a small stream that contains the following species of fish: rudd, roach ( roach ), bream ( or lead, bream ), perch, sticklebacks, isolated brook trout, crucian carp, tench and carp. In the spring pike pull through Bißnitz in the Steinbek to spawn in opening out drainage ditches and flooded meadows.
