Björn Schröder

Björn Schröder ( born October 27, 1980 in Berlin ) is a German racing cyclist.

After Schröder won the German U-23 Championships Mountain in 2002, he became a professional in 2003 with the team Wiesenhof. There, he won two stages of the Circuit des Mines, where he also conquered the jersey for the best sprinter, winning the mountains classification of the Rheinland -Pfalz- tour in the first year.

In 2006, he joined the UCI ProTeam Milram, where he remained until the end of the 2010 season. For this team, he contested the Tour de France in 2006 and 2008, the 2010 Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España in 2009 and 2010. Besides the Vuelta in 2009, where Schröder significantly injured in a massive crash during the fourth stage and consequently the season had to end prematurely, which all ended this " Grand Tours". His greatest achievement in this period was the overall victory at the Rothaus Regio - Tour 2008.

Schröder ended his cycling career at the end of the 2013 season to an occupation by name sponsor his last team team record Stölting.

Björn Schröder lives in Berlin and is the father of a child.
