Black Mountain Tower

The Black Mountain Tower ( formerly known as Telstra Tower ) is a TV tower in the Australian capital Canberra and one of the most famous landmarks of the city. Located on the Black Mountain 195 meters high tower was named after the telecommunications company Telstra, and was completed in 1980. It houses besides various telecommunications facilities and a visitor area; this includes an observation deck, a revolving restaurant, a café, a museum of telecommunications as well as a souvenir shop. The tower stands on a three-storey podium.
