Reception

Philip Ekhardt and Jan Kedves write in the spex:

"In fact, " Black Noise "is a great success. The album hyperreal bell sounds and the scraping of a Swiss mountain debris that was once an entire village buried connect to spooky alpine Eiskristalltechno. "

Sebastian Ingenhoff writes in the intro:

"On the cover of" Black Noise " you can now see the image of a church at the foot of Watzmanns, which was modeled on a romantic painting. The idyll is marred by nothing except just by the album title. Weber is also working musically with alleged contradictions, technology and nature will be synchronized. Field Recordings, the typical Weberian chimes always gentle bass drum, all of these come together to form a picturesque music that transcends miles above the dance floor. If Panda Bear starts singing, it is actually magical. "

Even international critics have rated the album positive. allmusic awarded 4.5 / 5 points, The Guardian 4 of 5 points and Pitchfork Media awarded 8.3 out of 10 points to the board.

With the album du Prince won the Critics Award at the Echo Awards 2011.
