Tramea lacerata

Tramea lacerata is a dragonfly species of the genus of the subfamily Tramea Panta Linae. It is a widespread species throughout the United States and southern Canada.

The T. lacerata reaches a length of 47-55 millimeters, 31-38 millimeters which attributable to the abdomen. The face is in pups is yellowish in males but black with age. The labrum is black in the males with the females, however, only bordered black. The top of the head is metallic purple. The thorax is brown with a black sheen. The hind wings reach a length of 40 to 48 mm at the base and have a pronounced black color. Otherwise, the wings are transparent. The pterostigma is brownish black. The legs are black. In addition, the wing has ten Ante - and nine Postcubitaladern. The abdomen is except for a few yellow spots in the middle segments also black.
