Blanche Sewell

Life

Sewell was taken in 1925 as a film editor for MGM contract and was henceforth work exclusively for this studio. In addition to Anne Bauchens, Viola Lawrence, Margaret Booth and Adrienne Fazan they belonged to the established female editors in Hollywood. In the 1930s she worked for the prestige productions people in the hotel ( Grand Hotel, 1932) and Queen Christina (Queen Christina ) with MGM's big star Greta Garbo responsible. The Blockbusters fire head ( Red- Headed Woman, 1932) and in the jungle storm ( Red Dust, 1932) with Jean Harlow among their works. In 1935 she came several times in film musicals for use as Broadway Melody 1936 (Broadway Melody of 1936) from 1935, is born dancing ( Born to Dance, 1936) and The Wizard of Oz ( The Wizard of Oz, 1939).

Sewell was married to Leon Bourgeau and died in 1949 at the age of only 50 years in Burbank, California.
