Blatno (Chomutov District)

Blatno ( German plates) lies on the southern slopes of the Ore Mountains in the region Ústí nad Labem Region at an altitude of 660 meters.

History

Established was the place probably in the 12th or 13th century by the Order of Teutonic Knights. The first written record comes from the year 1344 and speaks of Virius Bleystofer comandator in plates. Around this time can be in the vicinity of the castle, the first craftsmen down. Beginning of the 15th century, there were clashes with the Order. This was deeply in debt and also denied the Bohemian king to obey. 1945, the German population was brought to Laun and sold to Germany in 1946. In 1950 only 186 inhabitants in the village.
