Blitz (Band)

Lightning is an existing 1981-2007 Punk / Oi! Band from New Mills in the district of Derbyshire in England. Their heyday they were mainly in the United Kingdom in the early 80s.

The band consisted of several punks and skinheads and always referred to himself as a punk band. Garry Bushell, an editor of Sounds, was impressed by flash and shows this in several articles.

Some of their songs have been covered by well-known punk bands. So was on Rancids Radio Radio Radio EP The Lightning Song Someone's Gonna Die. Warriors was covered by The Distillers and Judge.

On 10 February 2007, the guitarist and songwriter Alan Miller was recognized under the influence of drugs on a freeway by a car and died.
