Bloodflowerz

Bloodflowerz is a German alternative rock band from Schwäbisch Hall.

Biography

The band was founded in 2000 in Ulm catchment. Even before the record deal with Silverdust they played as the opening act for bands like Subway to Sally. After 2001, when the first album Diabolic Angel was released, guitarist Nille the band for personal reasons. The gap was filled by Siggi Lenz. After the second album 7 Benedictions / 7 Maledictions Bloodflowerz played many concerts and festivals.

End of 2005, the guitarist, Mark and Siggi, and bassist Joachim " Jojo " Schulz left the band due to personal and health reasons. For the third album Dark Love Poems, a bassist and a new guitarist were added. Gave after the release of Dark Love Poems it, as the singer Kirsten tooth was pregnant only a few performances. In November 2006, her son was born.

For the piece Damaged Promises from the album Dark Love Poems from the year 2006, a video was shot.

In late 2007, the previous label Silverdust left the band. On 26 December 2007, the Bloodflowerz played their farewell concert in Nuremberg.

After almost 6 years break there will now be the Renunion of Bloodflowerz on 16 October 2013. Will be there the founding members Kirsten Zahn ( vocals), Tim Black (drums) and Joachim " Jojo " Schulz ( bass). Will be new to it Marco Klein ( guitar) and Benedikt Kuhn ( guitar). The Renunion concert will take place before the last instance in the Wuerzburg Post Hall. Other concerts and new recordings are planned.

Band name

The band name " Bloodflowerz " is inspired by the same name The- Cure - Bloodflowers album. The changes in the notation used for better distinction. The name stands for opposites. The band writes the name and using the international phonetic alphabet as Bl [ ʌ ] dflowerz (where the vowel ʌ such as the English but, groove or even just called blood, the square brackets are used commonly to illustrate a phonetic spelling ).
